Jordan Expands Helicopter Fleet with UH-60L BLACK HAWKS

July 20, 2004

FARNBOROUGH, United Kingdom - Sikorsky Aircraft and the U.S. Government have signed an agreement to build eight UH-60L BLACK HAWK helicopters for the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF), bringing to 13 the number of BLACK HAWKs with the RJAF.

Scheduled to enter into service in 2006, the aircraft will support the RJAF in providing rotorcraft assistance to all services of the Jordanian Armed Forces, including VIP transportation, armed helicopter support, utility, EMS, Search and Rescue and Special Operations.

"The RJAF has utilized both the BLACK HAWK and the S-76 for many years. We are thrilled with their continued confidence in our flagship aircraft, as well as their willingness to introduce the UH-60 into their special mission units," said Jeff Pino, Senior Vice President of Business Development.

The ruggedness and survivability of the BLACK HAWK, combined with its multi-mission flexibility, have made it the world's standard for medium-lift utility helicopters. Sikorsky has delivered more than 2,500 HAWK family helicopters since 1978 and the aircraft have logged more than five million flying hours.

More than 2,000 H-60 BLACK HAWK and H-60 variants are flown by all five U.S. military services. More than 600 international S-70 variants, including SEAHAWK naval derivatives, are serving 25 international customers.

Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX), of Hartford, Conn., is a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of advanced helicopters for commercial, industrial and military uses.
