Sikorsky Aircraft to Provide Contractor Logistics Support for Army LUH Team

June 30, 2006

STRATFORD, Connecticut - Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation will provide contractor logistics support (CLS) for the UH-145 team selected today as the winning entrant in the U.S. Army's Light Utility Helicopter (LUH) competition. Sikorsky Aircraft, based in Stratford, Conn., is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

EADS North America is the prime contractor and will supply the UH-145 helicopter to Army and Army National Guard units for a wide range of light utility missions, including medical evacuation, passenger and logistics transportation, as well as homeland security operations.

As subcontractor to EADS North America, Sikorsky will supply materials, technicians, field service teams, and related logistics services for UH-145 aircraft based throughout the U.S.

"Sikorsky brings decades of experience supporting helicopters for the U.S. Army and this selection further validates our reputation as the world's leading provider of rotary wing support services. We are eager to build upon that experience to provide world class support for a program of vital importance to the nation's defense and homeland security needs," said David Adler, Sikorsky senior vice president for Worldwide Customer Support.

The U.S. Army plans to acquire more than 320 LUH platforms to replace aging UH-1 and OH-58 aircraft. The Army National Guard is expected to receive the majority of these replacement aircraft. Exact procurement numbers and level of contracted support are determined year-to-year based on Department of Defense requirements and congressional budget allocations.

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. is a world leader in helicopter design, manufacturing, and service. United Technologies Corp., based in Hartford, Conn., provides a broad range of high-technology products and support services to the aerospace and building systems industries.

Actual results may differ materially from those projected as a result of certain risks and uncertainties, including but not limited to changes in government procurement priorities and practices or in the number of aircraft to be built; challenges in the design, development, production and support of advanced technologies; as well as other risks and uncertainties, including but not limited to those detailed from time to time in United Technologies Corporation's Securities and Exchange Commission filings.
