The System Integration Center in Fort Worth was opened in early 2007 and will be staffed with about100 Sikorsky aerospace engineers. Core competencies at this facility include Dynamic System design and analysis, Avionic Systems Integration, and Aircraft Handling Qualities.
The Sikorsky technical integration center in Huntsville, Alabama was opened in 2006 and will include Sikorsky engineers, logisticians, and program managers. This facility will support the legacy BLACK HAWK fleet as well as the latest version of the aircraft, the UH-60M advanced utility helicopter. Engineering disciplines will include structures, avionics, electrical, software, aerodynamics, test and reliability.
Sikorsky has teamed with key engineering service providers to create three domestic (U.S.) centers in Indiana, Kentucky, and Montana, as well as an international center in India.
The Butler Design Center, located in the Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette has been operational since January 2005. We currently utilize over 100 engineer seats supporting Sikorsky Aircraft in various disciplines, including airframe design, gearbox design, stress analysis, fatigue analysis, harness routing, equipment installation design, manufacturing engineering, wiring diagrams, M&P, and Mass Properties.
Belcan opened its Lexington Design Center in February 2005. The Center has expertise in disciplines such as airframe design, structural analysis (level 1 fatigue analysis), electrical system, wire harness design, process engineering, and dynamic systems design and analysis. The Center has developed a partnership with University of Kentucky to continue growth.
