President, Sikorsky Aerospace Services

David Adler

David Adler has led Sikorsky Aircraft’s customer support division since November, 2000. He first joined the company in 1998 when Sikorsky acquired Helicopter Support, Inc. He was president of HSI at the time of the acquisition and had held that role since 1986. David began his career at HSI in 1973 after earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from New York University.

By the time Sikorsky acquired HSI in 1998, David had grown the company into the industry’s premier independent helicopter aftermarket support company. His relentless focus on customer service, delivery performance, innovation, and entrepreneurship served as the foundation for the 2008 formation of Sikorsky Aerospace Services, a Sikorsky Company. As President, he oversees the entire aftermarket business which provides service and support to both military and commercial customers around the world.

Under his leadership, Sikorsky Aerospace Services has grown into a global presence offering a full portfolio of products and services to the aerospace industry. Over the last five years alone, the company has more than doubled in size and currently supports more than 7,100 fielded aircraft around the world. Its rapid growth has been complimented by key acquisitions that include such well known aerospace companies as Derco Aerospace, Inc., Helicopter Support, Inc., Helitech and Composite Technology.

Today, David’s focus is on providing a full array of integrated support closer to where customers operate. To expedite this vision, he commissioned the creation of a Sikorsky Fleet Management Operations Center. The objective of the center is to improve helicopter readiness and operator profitability through the collection, analysis and translation of aircraft data into customer value.
