Going global

Sikorsky Aircraft has operations on five continents, occupying approximately 6 million square feet of building space including about 2.6 million square feet of manufacturing space. Sikorsky commercial and military helicopters are operating today in 40 nations. Worldwide, the company employs approximately 16,000 people and is growing globally.

Manufacturing and assembly facilities are located in the United States and Mielec, Poland, in addition to joint venture manufacturing operations in Turkey and China. Supporting these are major supplier manufacturing facilities in Czech Republic (AERO Vodochody), China (Changhe Aircraft), and India (Tata Advanced Systems Limited).

Sikorsky Aerospace Services is the company's full spectrum service and support organization. It operates in every corner of the globe and consists of Sikorsky Support Services Inc. (SSSI), Helicopter Support Inc., and Derco Aerospace. In addition, third-party overseas Customer Support Centers are located at Times Aerospace Korea, in Seoul, and in the U.K. at Mann Aviation Group (Engineering Ltd.). Sikorsky also has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Gulf Helicopters to explore the opening of an Aviation Center of Excellence in Qatar to serve the Middle East region.

In the United States, Sikorsky has manufacturing and assembly operations in Stratford, Connecticut, where the company is headquartered, and in Troy, Alabama, and West Palm Beach, Florida. In addition, Sikorsky's Schweizer Aircraft subsidiary operates a military aircraft completion center and rapid prototyping facility in Elmira, New York, while Sikorsky's Keystone Helicopter subsidiary operates a commercial aircraft completion center in Coatsville, Pennsylvania.

Additionally, Sikorsky's Associated Aircraft Group Inc. (AAG) subsidiary provides integrated helicopter services in the Northeast United States, including helicopter management, maintenance, and charter helicopter flights.

The company also has engineering and design centers in Alabama, Texas, Indiana, Kentucky and Montana.
